(g)Ender Gallery x Queen City Pride Minecraft dance party
About
The MacKenzie Art Gallery and Queen City Pride co-present a virtual dance party inside the (g)Ender Gallery exhibition!
Cat Haines’ (g)Ender Gallery is an exhibit on the Minecraft platform that uses text and digital sculpture to explore queer and trans intimacies in digital space. At the centre of the exhibit is a monumental representation of the artist’s vagina, within which the artist uses poetry and photography to reflect upon her transition. The artist invites the audience inside the exhibit for the Pack the Pussy virtual dance party for a night of celebrating trans identities.
The event is free to attend. To attend the live dance party in Minecraft, you will need a licensed account for Minecraft Java. If you would like to attend in-game but don’t have Minecraft Java, contact cbluemke@mackenzie.art. Audience members can also watch a livestream of the event on the MacKenzie’s Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch streams.
The event will be monitored by MacKenzie Art Gallery staff to protect our artists and audience from harassment. The organizers reserve the right to remove and/or block audience members engaging in harmful activities.
Content Notice: This exhibition discusses multiple expressions of gender and sexuality. Audiences can expect Minecraft representations of nudity.

About the DJ
Using spectral analysis, various forms of synthesis, computer assisted composition techniques, and a penchant for chaos, Mutable Body constructs hyper-real soundscapes.
