As the City of Regina gets ready to host one football’s biggest and most anticipated games of the year, the MacKenzie Art Gallery is also gearing up for its own take on the big game. In partnership with the 101st Grey Cup Committee, the MacKenzie has organized Belinda Kriek’s exhibition, Spectate, which explores the many acts of spectating through her eyes.

“This display shares my experience as a viewer of spectators and fans during a festive sporting event, turning it in on itself. It is a mirror, reflecting our lives and inviting us to consider what it means to be part of a network, a tribe of observers”, says Kriek.

For many visitors of the exhibit, many pieces of work will hit close to home as they showcase the pride and passion of CFL fans and their love of the games.
