May 21 to October 10, 2016

You’ve seen them around town all winter — the seven reproductions of works from the MacKenzie’s Permanent Collection that make up art{outside}. Now’s your chance to see the originals in the Gallery!

art{outside}inside presents the seven works of art that inspired a first-in-Saskatchewan collaboration between the MacKenzie and Regina Downtown BID. Featuring pieces by François Musin, Mary E. Wrinch, Harold Town, Piet Mondrian, Allen Sapp, Roy Kiyooka, and Wanda Koop — along with several others from the MacKenzie’s Permanent Collection —art{outside}inside presents viewers with a sampling of just a few of the treasures from the MacKenzie’s Vault.

Organized by the MacKenzie Art Gallery with the support of Canada Council for the Arts, SaskCulture, Saskatchewan Arts Board, City of Regina, and University of Regina.
art{outside} is a partnership between the MacKenzie Art Gallery and Regina Downtown Business Improvement District, which received support from the City of Regina.

Installation view of art{outside}, 2015. Roy Kiyooka, Winter Landscape, oil on hardboard, 1955, 77.2 x 80 cm. Collection of the Mackenzie Art Gallery.
