About
Join us in-person for family Studio Sundays!
This week, we will be exploring the COVID-19 pandemic in more depth, inspired by the work of Ruth Cuthand. With the help of a Gallery Facilitator, create a three-part drawing to share your personal COVID–19 experiences, and open up discussions around your feelings during this global pandemic.
We will have 12 tickets available at both 2 PM and 3 PM for families to participate in our art activity.

Ruth Cuthand, Surviving: COVID-19, 2020, glass beads, backing and thread, vinyl lettering on glass. Collection of the MacKenzie Art Gallery.
Ruth Cuthand’s most recent work, Surviving: COVID-19, reminds us of the disproportionate effect this new virus has had on Indigenous communities both in Saskatchewan and elsewhere. It brings into the present moment her Trading Series (2009), in which she reflects on the pandemics and epidemics that have historically affected Indigenous communities both locally and globally.

Masks will be required, and tables will be set up to ensure social distancing.
We encourage families to register for their preferred time in advance! Visit the ticket link to reserve your spot today.
Studio Sundays are presented by Canada Life.
