Rhythm Jewellery
I am a goldsmith who creates gold and sterling silver hand finished jewelry inspired by dance. Though I have an extensive background in gold and diamond jewelry manufacturing of all kinds (a particular specialty in engagement rings) most shows I bring a full portfolio with me as well, as I started receiving so many questions about custom design work and repair. This past year I was honoured to design a collection with Nappytabs (celebrity creative directors and choreographers) which allowed me the opportunity to have my jewelry owned by Derek and Julianne Hough as well as Jennifer Lopez. We also carry a line of hand dyed artisan silk scarves and totes inspired by creative movement and collaboratively designed with Saskatchewan textile artist Rita St. Amant. Though we market our silks and jewelry as dance inspired, we have several pieces that are ‘inspired’ by movement and are worn by many customers who are not dancers.

j wallace skelton
I love printing, the process of making multiples with variations, the clarity of a carved line, the distinct look of a print; on card stock, or fabric. I print everyday images on everyday objects, tea towels, small pouches and cards, I want the everyday to be beautiful. When my tea towel swims with native fish, I have to think about the water and what I am putting down the drain. I want beauty and I want thoughtfulness, and I press my art into being.
