All That We Need is in This Room Exhibition Opening and Talk-Show-Style Conversation
About
How does the world change when we come together?
Join us for a celebration of collaboration at the opening reception for All That We Need Is in This Room, curated by Nicolle Nugent and Amy Millan. The evening brings together artist talks, performance, and an opportunity to experience the exhibition in a welcoming, social setting.
The evening begins with an Artist Talk Show—a lively, talk‑show‑style conversation featuring Damian Rogers, moira williams, Sylvia Ziemann, and Yuji Szero Lee, followed by an exhibition viewing and reception.
A special performance by moira williams will take place during the reception. In Misdiagnosis, a Crip Careoke song, williams reflects on years of misdiagnosis and mistreatment, drawing attention to how many disabled people experience their knowledge of their own bodies being overlooked within healthcare systems. The performance incorporates Black Willow and Golden Rod, understood as longstanding Indigenous medicines and technologies (Indigitech).
